BMS(Battery Management System)

Battery management system, referred to as BMS, is a battery management system designed and developed for the characteristics of high-capacity and large-scale energy storage battery arrays. It is the core equipment of this product. It mainly monitors and manages the status of large-scale battery arrays. And protection, to ensure that the battery is used safely, make full use of the battery storage capacity and prolong the battery life, so as to achieve the purpose of efficient use of the battery.

BAMS

Responsible for the corresponding management of all BMUs under a PCS, communicating with the PCS and the background monitoring system at the same time, and timely requesting PCS management according to the status of the battery pack.
The main functions are as follows:

  • Data display function. Display key data such as the total voltage, SOC, current, and temperature of the battery array, as well as the number of all battery strings in each battery cluster, cell voltage information, and temperature information;
  • Data save function.
  • Statistically estimate the remaining power (SOC) of the battery array and the state of health (SOH) of the battery array under the jurisdiction;
  • Receive BMU alarm signal, set parameters for BMU and LMU, communicate with PCS and background monitoring system, and report alarm signal;
  • Receive operation commands issued by PCS and background monitoring system and send them to BMU;
  • Communicate with background monitoring system;
  • Provide man-machine interface, communication interface, and authority management for local operation and remote operation, and complete the parameter setting function of the battery management system.

BCMU

  • Responsible for managing single-cluster battery arrays;
  • Manage BLMU, count battery voltage and temperature information, and report battery information responded by BAMS;
  • Detect battery cluster charge and discharge current;
  • Set the short-circuit current overcurrent protection function to cut off the current loop when a short-circuit abnormality occurs;
  • Set up fault diagnosis and protection functions such as charging and discharging overcurrent, charging overvoltage, discharging overcurrent, etc. When an abnormality occurs, report to BAMS and wait for receiving operation commands;
  • Control circuit breakers, contactors and other components;
  • SOC estimation;

BLMU

  • Manage multiple battery cells in series;
  • Battery voltage measurement and alarm;
  • Battery temperature measurement and alarm;
  • Passive balancing function of battery cells;
  • CAN isolation communication function;
